Apple revealed the next generation of CarPlay at WWDC 2024

Apple showed developers a new version of CarPlay at an additional session at WWDC 2024.

The next-generation CarPlay will be highly customisable. This will allow automakers to tailor the design of the system to their cars. Apple showed many variations in appearance and layout.

In addition, the manufacturer also showed the design of the Vehicle and Climate apps, which will store vehicle and climate control settings, respectively.

The new CarPlay will allow automakers to show alerts about the charging status of an electric car, available software updates for it, and more.

Unfortunately, there's no other information about CarPlay's innovations yet. Apple has promised to reveal details a little later. As for the release of the system, it is planned to be released in late 2024.
