What new features will the Apple Watch get with the watchOS 11 update
Apple revealed a new version of its operating system for the Apple Watch at WWDC 2024.
Here's What's New About It
We are talking about watchOS 11. The system has received a lot of small but useful changes. For example, active rings can now be customised by day and paused for rest periods. In addition, users will be able to notify friends about the end of workouts.
There's also a new "Workout Load" feature in watchOS 11 that helps users track the intensity of their workouts over time. The new algorithm uses heart rate, altitude, workout duration, as well as age and weight data to calculate an estimated effort level and training load. Apple has still updated the Vitals app, improved the cycle tracking feature, and worked on the widgets in Smart Stack.
When We Can Expect It
Developers can already test watchOS 11. The open beta version of the software will be released in July, and the stable release of the system is scheduled for autumn. watchOS 11 will receive 7 models of Apple Watch.
