Monkey King conquers Steam: in just three days, pre-order Chinese action game Black Myth: Wukong has topped the sales leaderboard
The weekly Steam sales chart is rarely sensational, but today is such a case. It has undergone extremely interesting and unusual changes.
Here's What We Know
At the Summer Game Fest 2024 ceremony Game Science studio announced the start of pre-orders for the ambitious Chinese action game Black Myth: Wukong, which is the most anticipated game among Steam users. Thanks to this event, the promising game about the Monkey King has broken into the sales leaderboard in just three days.
The famous action-RPG Elden Ring returned to the second place. Probably, it owes such interest to the soon release of Shadow of the Erdtree add-on, which took the sixth place in the chart.
Among the interesting things we should mention the great interest to the unusual multirealistic shooter Bodycam, which was released in Early Access, and the large-scale expansion The Final Shape for the online shooter Destiny 2. By the way, thanks to DLC, Bungie studio's shooter became the most profitable among conditionally free games, overtaking the eternal leader Counter-Strike 2!
