The journey continues: Destiny 2 developers have confirmed the development of a new Frontiers addon, due for release in 2025
Last week saw the release of The Final Shape addon for the Destiny 2 online shooter, which was the culmination of the franchise's ten-year development.
According to some wording of Bungie representatives, it could be assumed that it was the end of the game's story, and only the third part would be waiting for the fans in the future.
But, apparently, this is not the case.
Here's What We Know
Bungie released a video about the further development of Destiny 2 and it says that in the next few months three free episodes with new content and tasks will be released for the game.
However, more interesting was the news that Bungie is already working on the next major expansion, which has a working title Frontiers and will be released in 2025.
Details of the addon are not available.
Recall, the release of The Final Shape allowed Destiny 2 to become the most profitable free-to-play game of the last week in the Steam sales chart, overtaking the eternal leader Counter-Strike 2.
