Apple has updated its Photos app in iOS 18 with new categories and a redesign that makes it easier to find and manage images.
Here's What's New About It
Here are some of the key highlights:
- Updated Utilities section: This section now includes categories for receipts, handwriting, artwork, QR codes, recently saved, recently viewed, recently edited, documents, imports, maps, and hidden images. This makes it easier to find specific types of images.
- Pinned collections: This new feature allows you to create collections of images that you want to access quickly, such as screenshots, selfies, or favourite videos. Collections appear at the top of the Photos app for easy access.
- Other improvements: An Animations category for animated images and GIFs has been added, and the Media Types section has been updated to better organise images.
The iOS 18 updates are available for developers now, with the official launch for users expected later this year.
