Flashback
Mistral is a man-portable surface-to-air missile system developed by the French company MBDA to engage air targets at low altitudes. The main feature of Mistral is its infrared homing head, which provides high accuracy and reliability in hitting targets such as helicopters, aircraft and drones.
The system consists of a launcher and a missile with a fragmentation warhead. Mistral can be used in a variety of environments due to its mobility and ease of operation. Its compactness allows the system to be rapidly deployed and used in combat conditions. The Mistral man-portable air defence system is in service with many countries, including Ukraine.
