Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, is once again the richest man in the world
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has regained his position as the richest man on the planet, according to the latest data from Bloomberg's Billionaires Index. His fortune is estimated at an astronomical $210 billion, an increase of $32 billion since January this year. The increase in his fortune is due to a nearly 25 per cent increase in the value of Amazon shares.

Bezos, who founded Amazon in 1994, owns 9% of the company, which has become one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the world. His business successes and ownership of Blue Origin, a space exploration company, have also contributed to his wealth.
Bezos is followed by Bernard Arnault, head of LVMH (the world's largest luxury goods company), with a fortune of $205 billion and Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, with a fortune of $198 billion. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, and Google co-founder Larry Page are also in the top five with fortunes of $180 billion and $157 billion respectively.
Other notable billionaires include Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, whose fortune has grown by $93 billion over the past 18 months to $106 billion, thanks to the company's rising stock price.
