A performance test in Geekbench has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will get a 10-core Exynos 2400 processor
Samsung is getting closer to finalising a new smartphone from its Fan Edition series, the Galaxy S24 FE. The device has been spotted in the Geekbench database, indicating the start of its testing.
Here's What We Know
According to the findings, the smartphone with model number SM-S721B, which will be the European version of the Galaxy S24 FE smartphone, scored 2047 in the single-core performance test and 6289 in the multi-core test. Judging by the description of the chip's core layout on the test page, the smartphone will feature an Exynos 2400 processor and will also get 8GB of RAM and will run Android 14.
The Exynos 2400 chipset is already used in other models in the Galaxy S24 series, except for the US and Hong Kong versions, where Snapdragon processors are favoured. Although, it is possible that for the aforementioned regions, the new product will use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, similar to previous models.
According to preliminary leaks, the Galaxy S24 FE's main camera will feature the ISOCELL GN3 sensor, which is also used in the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 models, as well as their Plus versions.
Samsung is unlikely to unveil the Galaxy S24 FE at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, as if the company was planning to do so, we would have already seen more leaks about the device. Apparently, the Fan Edition lineup refresh will happen in the second half of 2024. So despite the early signs of development, it could still be around six months before the official launch.
