The series of special episodes of the Official Xbox Podcast continues. Previous episodes were dedicated to the stealth action game Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and the role-playing game Avowed.
Now, we're focusing on two ambitious strategies that are being created with the support of Microsoft.
Here's What We Know
Representatives of Oxide Games studio told details about the 4X strategy Ara: History Untold.
First of all, it is worth noting that the developers have announced the release date of the game - it will be released on 24 September on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and will be immediately available in PC Game Pass. Later, the game is planned to be released on Xbox.
Ara: History Untold resembles the popular Sid Meier's Civilization series in many ways, but the developers assure that they did not blindly copy other people's work, but will provide fans of grand strategies with a new look at their favourite genre.
Players can expect a huge number of mechanics, a large selection of nations, each with unique features, advantages and disadvantages, and a large scope for the realisation of their ideas. To achieve victory in Ara: History Untold can be achieved both militarily and diplomatically. Successful trade expansion or religious hegemony will also be considered a victory.
The second half of the podcast is dedicated to the new strategy Age of Mythology: Retold, which was announced on 9 June at the Xbox Games Showcase.
This will be an updated version of the original Age of Mythology, the gameplay of which resembles the popular Age of Empires series, but it is dedicated not to real historical events but to mythological deities and heroes of legends. Age of Mythology: Retold will be released on 4 September and will also be available on Game Pass.
