Apple is giving developers more control over how their apps are presented in the App Store. Thanks to the new feature "Nominations for Display", developers can now submit their apps and updates for consideration by the App Store editorial team.

Here's What We Know

This means that developers don't have to wait for their apps to be randomly selected for display.

The App Store editorial team is responsible for all Today sections of the App Store,

Here's How It Works

  • Developers can submit nominations for new content, app enhancements, or app launches through App Store Connect.
  • Apple will review all nominations and notify developers of the results via push notifications.
  • Developers can also provide certain restrictions for TestFlight, such as for certain devices or operating system versions.

This new feature, along with TestFlight updates, will be available in autumn.

Flashback

TestFlight is Apple's beta testing service for iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS. It allows developers to share their unfinished apps with testers to get feedback and identify bugs before publishing them to the App Store.
