Flashback
NLAW (Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon) is a man-portable anti-tank weapon designed to destroy armoured targets at short ranges. The NLAW was developed by the Swedish company Saab Bofors Dynamics and the British company Thales Air Defence. The NLAW is designed for use by infantry units. The weapon is equipped with a "shoot-and-forget" system with prepositioning, which allows the operator to lock on to the target and fire with high accuracy. It is effective against modern tanks and other armoured vehicles due to its tandem shaped charge capable of penetrating active and reactive armour.
The NLAW is lightweight and compact, making it easy to transport and use in a variety of combat environments. The system is easy to operate and requires minimal training. The NLAW is in service with various countries, including Ukraine.
