Ubisoft has renamed the mysterious Assassin's Creed Infinity platform to Animus Hub for greater immersiveness
It is expected that simultaneously with the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows single-player game Ubisoft will launch Assassin's Creed Infinity online platform, which will unite all parts of the series in a certain way in one hub and offer gamers some exclusive content.
But all this is speculation and words of insiders, because Ubisoft, although announced the development of this project, but did not share absolutely no details, except for its name.
Here's What We Know
In an interview with Game File portal, Ubisoft producer Marc-Alexis Côté said that the team decided to rename the platform, and instead of Assassin's Creed Infinity will be released Animus Hub.
According to the company, such a name will cause a greater association with historical characters and eras. For those who are not familiar with Assassin's Creed, let us explain: Animus is a fictional device that reads a person's DNA and allows you to recreate the life of his ancestors in virtual space.
In this way, Ubisoft sort of blurs the line between characters and players, as both seem to use the Animus to immerse themselves in a world of the past.
Unfortunately, the producer didn't give any explanation on how the Infinity/ Animus Hub will work this time around either, but as insider j0nathan recently reported, there will be plenty of microtransactions and its own analogue of season passes.
