Chinese customs officers detain woman carrying 350 Nintendo Switch cartridges worth $9,660 in her bra
More than 300 Nintendo Switch game cartridges were almost smuggled into China in a woman's bra, but something went wrong along the way.
Here's What We Know
Chinese customs officers at the port of Liangtan noticed the woman's nervous behaviour. One of the customs officers also thought that her breasts "looked unusual", so they took her out of the queue of passengers for further inspection.
The inspection revealed that the woman was carrying 350 Nintendo Switch cartridges in her bra, which she was trying to deliver to mainland China.
The initial value of the smuggled goods was 70,000 yuan ($9,660).
As tomshardware writes, importing or exporting goods from China without paying the appropriate taxes, as in most countries, is considered smuggling and is illegal. Assuming that the Nintendo Switch cartridges are not prohibited or restricted goods, the suspect may be fined "not more than three times the amount of duty payable but evaded".
