Apple often faces lawsuits from both competitors and users. And some of them are quite interesting. Such as the recent lawsuit filed by a UK resident who cheated on his wife.

Details

The man claims that Apple's lack of transparency regarding deleted messages led to his wife filing for divorce. As it turns out, he had been cheating on his spouse for several years by using sex workers. He would arrange meetings via iMessage and then delete all messages on his iPhone.

But one day his wife used the family's iMac computer and found all these messages. As it turned out, the messages had only been deleted on the smartphone, while the linked computer retained them. As a result, the wife discovered the correspondences from the past few years and filed for divorce.

The unfaithful husband has filed a legal action to recover over £5 million he has lost as a result of the divorce and legal fees. He is outraged and believes that Apple is misleading users by not informing them that deleted messages can be saved on other connected devices.

Apple has yet to comment on the situation.
