Sad ending: Tango Gameworks developer shows the last day of work in the studio before its closure
In early May, it became known that Microsoft was closing down Tango Gameworks, the studio known for Hi-Fi Rush and The Evil Within. Now the developers have shared photos from their last working day.
Here's What We Know
Developer Takeo Kido shared photos of the Japanese studio on its last day. The developers ordered a pizza, packed all their belongings, and will never return to these walls again. You can see a series of photos below in Kido's tweet attached to the post.
Unfortunately, the industry has said goodbye to another good studio that knew how to create cool worlds.
Tokyo-based Tango Studio was founded in 2010 by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, and later that year it was acquired by Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media. It joined Xbox Game Studios in 2021 when Microsoft acquired ZeniMax for $7.5 billion.
