Volodymyr Zelensky: Denmark will soon hand over the first F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters to Ukraine

The Ukrainian army will soon receive Danish F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters.

Here's What We Know

This was told by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a meeting with the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen. In total, Denmark will transfer 19 aircrafts in MLU (Mid-Life Update) modification to the AFU. By the way, after the Danish planes, Ukraine is to receive Dutch fighter jets.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a fourth-generation multi-role fighter developed by the American company General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin). The aircraft first took to the air in 1974 and has since become one of the most common and successful fighters in the world. The F-16 is highly manoeuvrable. It can reach speeds of over 2,000 km/h and perform a wide range of combat missions, including aerial combat, ground strikes and reconnaissance. The aircraft is equipped with modern radars, fire control systems and can carry a variety of weapons: air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, bombs and guided bombs. The F-16 is in service with more than 25 countries.
