Samsung updates Tizen to version 1420 with Q-Symphony support for Music Frame and new Wi-Fi features
Samsung has released an update for its smart TVs running the Tizen operating system, version 1420.
Here's What We Know
This is the third major update in the last few months that focuses on improving audio features, particularly for Music Frame owners.
The update to version 1420 adds support for Q-Symphony for Music Frame speakers, allowing users to combine the sound from Music Frame and their TV's built-in speakers for a richer sound experience.
One of the key changes is the replacement of the Wi-Fi Speaker Surround Setup menu with a new Q-Symphony Setup menu that combines all the sound sync options between the TV and Samsung audio devices.
The volume pop-up for the Q-Symphony settings has also changed, and now displays the name "Q-Symphony" instead of the soundbar model number.
The previous update had some sound issues, but these have been fixed in the new 1420 version by removing the Wi-Fi Speaker Surround menu and other changes.
How To Switch It On
Users can check for updates on their Samsung TV by going to the 'All Settings', 'Support' and 'Software Update' menus and selecting 'Update Now'.
