Changes in Microsoft's gaming division are ongoing. This time, the marketing director left the Xbox department.

Here's What We Know

Xbox marketing director Jerrett West is leaving Microsoft to join Roblox as the new COO and head of market expansion.

Previously, West spent eight years at Microsoft, working on Xbox marketing. He then left the company in 2011 to work for seven years at Netflix as head of marketing. West subsequently returned to Microsoft in late 2019 to lead the marketing efforts for the launch of the Xbox Series consoles.

Now, Microsoft will create a new expanded central gaming marketing team under the leadership of Kirsten Ward, vice president of integrated marketing at Xbox.

According to The Verge, this is the second resignation of a key Xbox executive this year, after former Xbox New Technology Head Kareem Choudhry left Microsoft in early April. Following Choudhry's departure, a new Xbox Experience and Platforms team was created to improve the Xbox user experience.
