The script for the second part of Batman with Robert Pattinson is still in active development
We wrote that the second part of Batman with Pattinson was postponed for a year: the premiere is scheduled for 2 October 2026. We still have a long time to wait, because the film still doesn't have a finished script.
Here's What We Know
DC head James Gunn gave more details about the state of the film's script. When asked by a fan if the script for Batman 2 was being written, Gunn replied: "Yes."
Another fan asked when the script would be completed, Gunn said that its readiness depends on director Matt Reeves. The director told the audience that the script will be ready when Matt decides it's ready.
However, viewers will still be able to return to Reeves' Batman universe in 2025, as this year the Penguin series is scheduled to premiere, telling the story of the villain's rise. The Penguin, like in the Batman film, will be played by Colin Farrell. There will be 8 episodes in total, and the premiere will take place on the Max streaming service.
