Lenovo Tab Plus tablet has been unveiled, which combines the functions of a tablet and Bluetooth speaker into one low-cost device
Lenovo has unveiled a new low-cost Tab Plus tablet that combines the functionality of an Android tablet with the capabilities of a Bluetooth speaker, thanks to powerful sound from JBL.
Here's What We Know
The main feature of the Lenovo Tab Plus is the eight-channel audio system from JBL. The tablet has four high-frequency speakers and four low-frequency speakers. The company assures that the device can deliver 26 watts of sound, and the Dolby Atmos setting further improves the sound quality. Another feature of the tablet is that it can function as a portable Bluetooth speaker connected to a smartphone. These features set the novelty apart from its competitors in this price segment.
The tablet is also equipped with an 11.5-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a brightness of 400 nits. It also has a rear stand that allows you to adjust the viewing angle up to 175 degrees and automatically activates the digital photo frame mode when placed on the stand in landscape orientation.
Inside, the Tab Plus is powered by an octa-core MediaTek G99 chip with 8GB of RAM, and variants are available with 128GB and 256GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via a microSD card slot. An 8,600mAh battery and 45W fast charging support ensure long battery life for the device. There is also a 3.5 mm output for wired audio output.
The novelty runs Android 14 and the company promises 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches. Apart from the tablet, Lenovo has also unveiled a case, stylus and wireless keyboard for the device.
The Lenovo Tab Plus goes on sale for $290 in the US and €279 in some EU markets.
