Samsung's Galaxy AI will be able to recognise songs
Samsung's Galaxy S24 series of smartphones continues to amaze the world of innovation. The latest addition to its arsenal is Galaxy AI, a package of AI-based features that makes everyday use easier.
Here's What We Know
One of the main innovations of Galaxy AI is the Google Circle to Search (CtS) feature. This option allows you to search on the screen by simply circling it. Now, Google is developing a new enhancement to Circle to Search that will allow it to identify songs and popular audio clips.
According to a post by @AssembleDebug on X/Twitter, the latest beta version of Google's app (which powers Circle to Search on Samsung devices) has a new button with a soundtrack design next to the button for translating on-screen text. Although this button is not active by default and needs to be manually activated, its presence is a sign of the potential of the new functionality.
Here's How It Works
The button has not yet been officially confirmed, but given the design of the audio tune, we can assume that it will allow Circle to Search to use the device's microphone to recognise ambient sound. If a song or audio clip is detected, the user will receive information about it. This feature can also be used to identify songs by their melody.
