Galaxy Watch Ultra: Samsung has confirmed the name of its premium smartwatch on official support pages
Ahead of the expected launch of a new smart watch, Samsung confirmed the name of its premium model as the Galaxy Watch Ultra on one of its websites, but soon removed the page.
Here's What We Know
The naming information appeared on the company's Canadian website, which mentioned the LTE model Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra with model number SM-L705F before the support page was removed. The new smart watch will have a case size of 47mm and LTE connectivity, which is comparable to the previous Galaxy Watch 6 Classic model. However, the feature of the novelty will be a frame made of titanium.
According to preliminary reports, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will get a 5-core Exynos processor, 32 GB of internal memory and a 590 mAh battery. The device will be pressure resistant up to 10 ATM and will feature three physical buttons. The watch will run on the One UI 6 Watch software, based on Wear OS 5, with Galaxy AI features including personalised health tips.
Also expected are new watch faces, an Energy Level feature, improved sleep and workout analysis, as well as faster horizontal scrolling and enhanced features in the Modes and Programs app.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to cost $700, making it the most expensive in the Galaxy Watch lineup. For more frugal buyers, Samsung will introduce the Galaxy Watch FE model, which will be available very soon with prices starting at $199, depending on the region. Both models are expected to be unveiled at the Unpacked event in July.
