The new budget smartphones Realme V60 and V60s are now available on Realme's Chinese website
Realme has introduced its new, affordable V series smartphone models - V60 and V60s - to the Chinese market. These devices are focused on the initial 5G segment and offer good performance at an affordable price.
Here's What We Know
Despite the difference in names, the smartphones are almost identical in both design and hardware. Both phones feature a 6.67-inch HD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The resolution is 720 x 1604 pixels and the maximum brightness reaches 625 nits. Realme notes that the screen is also capable of dimming down to 1 nits, which is handy for night time use.
The processor used is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 for both models. The smartphones are available with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of inbuilt storage. Virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB is also supported. The devices run Android 14 with Realme's proprietary Realme UI 5.0 shell, and feature IP64 body protection and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The 5,000mAh battery supports 10W charging.
The rear panel has a four-hole camera module, but it actually houses a single 32MP sensor, one unknown camera (probably a macro or depth sensor) and an LED flash. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for selfies. The design of the smartphones is decent for its price range, with minimalistic bezels around the display. The models are available in Star Gold and Turquoise colours.
There is no official information about any differences between the smartphones. Some sources speculate that the V60s may have an improved camera or other additional features, but this has not been confirmed at the moment.
Despite having the same specifications, the models have different prices. The Realme V60 price in China starts at 1,199 yuan ($175) for the 6/128GB version and goes up to 1,399 yuan ($205) for the 8/256GB configuration. The Realme V60s starts at a higher price of 1,399 yuan ($205) for the 6/128GB model and goes up to 1,799 yuan ($265) for the 8/256GB variant.
