Apple and Meta consider AI partnership for iOS 18
The global tech giants Apple and Meta may enter into a deal aimed at enhancing artificial intelligence in their products. According to The Wall Street Journal, the partnership under discussion involves the integration of Meta AI models into the upcoming iOS 18 update for Apple Intelligence.
Here's What We Know
This partnership paves the way for features that will unite the products of both companies, allowing iOS 18 users to use Meta AI intelligence, such as writing support, photo-realistic images, and more.
According to the terms of the agreement, Meta AI will not collect user data and will be available as a free backend via ChatGPT-4o. In addition, users will be able to access additional features through a ChatGPT Plus account.
The iOS 18 update, which promises to be the first to include this integration, is scheduled for this year for iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, and Mac users with an M1 chip or later.
