Yatri's CTO, Thakur Poudel, emphasised that the innovation will allow motorbike owners to seamlessly connect their smartphones to the vehicle without the need for cables or additional accessories.
This feature will provide access to basic phone functions through the motorbike's in-built display and the ability to control voice commands, making rides safer and more comfortable. The P1 Gen 2 will also get additional protection in the form of a safety cage and frame slider.
Yatri also showed how users can operate the P1 Gen 2's touchscreen display. The control panel supports navigation, calls, messages, and music playback control.
Yatri is focusing on improving the core features of the motorbike based on data analysis and user feedback. While the exact launch date and price have not yet been announced, the P1 Gen 2 is expected to hit the market in 2024. The current P1 is sold in Nepal at a starting price of around Rs 565,000 (about $4,240).
