Palword developer seems to be teasing a PlayStation 5 version of the game
Palworld was released earlier this year in early access on PC and Xbox and the game quickly became a sensation, garnering over 25 million players within a month and generating billions of yen in revenue for developer Pocketpair. Shortly after its release, rumours of an upcoming PlayStation 5 port began to circulate, and it seems that these rumours may be gaining momentum.
Here's What We Know
Bucky, the global Palworld community manager at Pocketpair, has hinted at this possibility on Twitter. A recent tweet from Bucky features the word "Palworld" surrounded by black and green hearts, the colours associated with Xbox and Steam, the platforms on which the game is currently available.
The tweet continues with the words "I want to add more hearts", followed by a blue heart, the colour associated with the PlayStation. The tweet ends with the words: "I think it looks good" and a bug-eyed emoji, clearly teasing a potential PS5 release.
If a PS5 version of Palworld does indeed appear, it will be interesting to see how soon it is officially announced. Coincidentally, the game is due to receive a major free update on 27 June, which could coincide with the announcement of the PS5 version.
