In early June, The Final Shape expansion for Destiny 2 was released, which became the culmination of ten years of development of the shooter series from Bungie studio.

Critics were left in awe of The Final Shape. The DLC was Metacritic's highest-rated release of 2024 until the Elden Ring expansion came out: on PlayStation 5, The Final Shape has a 92 score, while the Xbox and PC versions have a score of 89.

The developers presented an atmospheric praise trailer of Destiny 2: The Final Shape, which brought some eloquent theses of journalists. Such buzz phrases as "the best expansion in history" and "a work of art" were uttered.
