Snapdragon Galaxy S21 FE receives June security update in Europe

The Snapdragon Galaxy S21 FE variant has received a security update in Europe for June 2024.

European users are likely to receive the latest security update later than others due to a European-exclusive update that Samsung rolled out last month to several Galaxy devices. The update introduced some changes to regional LTE support and was not released in other regions.

The latest Galaxy S21 FE update only contains security fixes. The security patch from June 2024 has already hit many Galaxy phones and contains fixes for 59 vulnerabilities found in Android and One UI. Of these 59 vulnerabilities, 22 only affect Samsung smartphones and tablets.

The update, identified by the build number G990BXXS8GXF1, contains no other changes. You can download it directly to your S21 FE by going to Settings, Software Update and pressing the Download & Install button.

Alternatively, you can download the latest Galaxy S21 FE firmware from Samsung's website to a Windows PC and update your phone via a USB connection.
