YouTube's Android app YouTube may soon get a sleep timer feature
YouTube's mobile app may soon get the long-awaited sleep timer feature, which will allow users to set a time to automatically switch off video playback. This will be a handy addition for those who are used to falling asleep to the sound of videos.
Here's What We Know
The feature is currently under development and information about it was found in the code of the app version 19.25.33 for Android. Users will be able to specify the number of hours and/or minutes until playback stops, as well as control the timer via notifications. The option to reset the timer or continue watching will also be provided.
While there is no exact launch date for the new feature, it is expected to make life easier for many users who previously had to use third-party apps or a system timer to stop YouTube.
