Beyerdynamic introduces the VERIO 200 open-ear wireless headphones (photo)
Beyerdynamic has announced the launch of its first true open-ear wireless headphones, the VERIO 200, along with a new mobile app. The move reflects the trend of several audio companies turning to open-ear design, where the driver is positioned outside the listener's ear.
Here's What We Know
The price of the VERIO 200 headphones is $220 and the device has a special 16.22 mm graphene driver. The use of graphene in drivers can reduce sound distortion, which helps to compensate for the usual compromises in sound performance inherent in this style.
Additionally, the open-ear design can be more comfortable, especially for those who don't like in-ear headphones, and allows for better hearing of the environment, which is important for outdoor users.
In terms of functionality, the VERIO 200 earbuds last up to 8 hours and the charging case up to 27 hours. They are Bluetooth 5.3 compatible and can be connected to iOS and Android devices. The headphones can be controlled via voice commands or with the Beyerdynamic mobile app, which provides individual sound settings with an equaliser.
