Apple has launched iOS 18 Beta 2 testing: what's new
Apple has announced a new beta version of iOS 18.
Here's What We Know
The update was released with the name iOS 18 Beta 2. Various innovations were added to the software, which Apple talked about during WWDC 2024. For example, the firmware now has the iPhone Mirroring feature, which allows you to control your smartphone via Mac. They also added a toggle switch for the new RCS messaging protocol (replacing SMS and MMS), but the feature itself doesn't work yet.
The developers have also added support for a dark theme for the App Store icon on the homescreen, a new Connected Card Wallet widget, a slightly updated Passwords app, and support for alternative shops in the European Union.
When We Can Expect It
iOS 18 Beta 2 can already be installed by users with a developer account. The iOS 18 open beta will be released in July.
