The BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Gaming Nomination is an award given annually for achievements in the video game industry. It covers various categories, including best game, design, music, and innovation. However, now the rules for voting for games in some categories will change.

Here's What We Know

In the Game Design category, the first round will be voted on by a section consisting of voting BAFTA members with a career in game design.

The same applies to the Technical Achievement category. In the first round, people with programming experience will vote.

At the same time, the Best Original Game category will take into account originality and innovation. And in the category of the Best Supported Game, only those games that have a roadmap with major updates will be considered. The reason for this change is probably Cyberpunk 2077, which was no longer actively supported at the time of the award.
