When ancient technology beats innovation: a Ukrainian drone operator shot down an enemy Mavic with a stick tied to a UAV

War is not only a battle of technology, weapons and human resources, but also of ingenuity and out-of-the-box thinking.

Russian attack and reconnaissance drones remain a major problem for Ukrainian soldiers. Expensive ammunition is spent to fight them, the cost of which is often disproportionately higher than the cost of a destroyed UAV.

However, surprisingly enough, sometimes ancient technologies work as well as the most modern solutions.

The WarArchive channel published an amazing video shot by a Ukrainian drone to which the operators tied an ordinary stick and used it to hit a DJI Mavic reconnaissance drone, causing it to fall.

Essentially, the drone descended on an enemy target and disrupted the drone's propellers with the stick. The result exceeded all expectations.

This is how civilisation made a circle from the stick to super-tech drones and back to the stick again.
