370 airfields, 238 air defence positions, 153 oil depots, 147 warehouses and 17 naval bases: Ukrainian intelligence told about the results of the ICEYE satellite, which was bought by volunteers.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine has shared information about the work of the ICEYE satellite.
Here's What We Know
Specialists of the GUR have been using the space satellite for almost two years. During this time, the Ukrainian intelligence managed to make 4173 images of enemy objects. Among them:
- 370 aerodromes
- 238 air defence and radio-technical reconnaissance positions
- 153 oil depots and fuel depots
- 147 missile, aviation weapons and ammunition depots
- 17 naval bases
Also in the ICEYE lens are the permanent deployment points of enemy forces, training grounds, military camps and mobilisation deployment centres. This makes it possible to track the dynamics of Russian troop movements, as well as reveal the enemy's military plans. The satellite also monitors the facilities of the aggressor's military-industrial complex and its logistics network.
By the way, about 38% of the entire data set obtained thanks to ICEYE was used for direct preparation of the enemy's fire attack. Thanks to this, Russia suffered billions of dollars in losses.
Flashback
In late June 2022, the Ukrainians raised $20 million for three Bayraktar TB2 drones, but Baykar handed over the UAVs for free. Almost two months later, it was revealed that the money was spent on the purchase of one satellite and access to ICEYE's database of all satellites. The purchase of the satellite was handled by the Sergei Pritula Foundation.
