The new Zelda, DOOM: The Dark Ages and Astro Bot were the most anticipated games on display at the summer shows
The summer shows, which stretched from the end of May to the second half of June, have come to an end. Sony, Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft and other developers presented a lot of interesting novelties of different genres and settings.
There were so many shows and announcements that it is not easy to sort out which of them were the most interesting to the general public.
Journalists of the portal GamesIndustry.bis conducted an analysis by studying the IGN Playlist database, which allows you to make wish lists.
Here's What We Know
Having analysed the requests of gamers in the period from 30 May to 23 June, the authors made a rating of the most desirable games among those that were shown at the summer shows.
The leader was The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which was announced at the Nintendo Direct. The game, which will feature Princess Zelda as the protagonist for the first time, will be released on 26 September. Gamesindustry journalists believe that the proximity of the release and, of course, the popularity of Nintendo were the main factors in the high interest in the game.
The second place was occupied by one of the brightest and most desirable announcements of 2024 and, in particular, Xbox Games Showcase 2024 - shooter DOOM: The Dark Ages.
Well, and the third line in the rating of gamers' interest was occupied by a cute action-platformer Astro Bot - the nearest novelty of Sony, which will be released in September.
Overall, the top ten included five Microsoft games, three Nintendo games and one each from Sony and Ubisoft.
