Samsung could announce One UI 7.0 as early as early October
It is reported that Samsung may have revealed the date for the One UI 7.0 unveiling. The company has already announced when it will hold the next Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) at which, presumably, and will be announced the new OS.
Here's What We Know
According to the official Samsung Developer in X account, Samsung is planning to hold SDC 2024 on the 3rd of October, in San Jose, California.
Last year, SDC 2023 took place on 5 October, and the stable launch of One UI 6.0 followed later that month. So we can assume that this year's One UI 7.0 will be announced at SDC 2024, on 3 October and the new shell could appear on Samsung's new flagship devices before the end of the same month.
One UI 7 based on Android 15 is reportedly already undergoing internal testing by Samsung.
According to leaks, One UI 7 will improve features like Bluetooth Auracast, NFC, overall UI design, animations and battery life. Additionally, Samsung may add an app lock feature and a vertical app bar.
Android 15 and One UI 7 are expected to introduce a host of other improvements, although details on these will be revealed with the announcement of the One UI 7 beta testing programme next quarter.
