The latest wave of popularity: Forza Horizon 4 has a new online peak after the news that the game will be withdrawn from sale
We wrote that the popular racing game Forza Horizon 4 will become unavailable for purchase from 15 December. The reason for this decision was the expiration of licensing agreements. Probably, it is about music. At the same time, the game received a big discount on Steam, which gave it the latest wave of popularity.
Here's What We Know
On 26 June, more than 48 thousand people were playing Forza Horizon 4 simultaneously, which became a brand new record for the game. Over the past month, not even 10 thousand people were playing the game at the same time, and now we have a new online peak.
As a reminder, gamers who have purchased Forza Horizon 4 will continue to enjoy all its features, both online and offline.
DLCs for the game have already started to be removed from sale on 25 June. They will only be available as part of the Extended and Ultimate Editions.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers who have purchased DLC through the Xbox Message Centre service will receive a special "token" to ensure they don't lose access to additional content.
Forza Horizon 4 will no longer receive add-ons, but the last series of online races Series 77 will take place from 25 July to 22 August, after which such playlists will be unavailable, but players will be able to complete various challenges and tasks.
