BlackSuit hacker group announces that it has obtained 1.5 TB of confidential data from FromSoftware parent company
In December 2023, the industry experienced a massive hacker leak when attackers published terabytes of information from Insomniac. And now another group has emerged that claims to have stolen information.
Here's What We Know
The hacker group BlackSuit reported that it has 1.5 TB of confidential data of KADOKAWA Group, the parent company of FromSoftware. In addition, KADOKAWA is engaged in publishing, video, games, web services, education, and goods.
The hackers said that they would publish contracts, legal documents, information about users and employees, business plans, project data, financial documentation, and other internal documents on 1 July 2024 if they did not receive a ransom.
However, it is not known whether BlackSuit really received all this data or just wants to make a loud statement.
