IGN has revealed 42 minutes of gameplay for The Alters, an unusual sci-fi adventure game from the creators of This War of Mine and Frostpunk

Sci-fi adventure The Alters from the authors of This War of Mine and Frostpunk promises to be one of the most unusual games of 2024.

11-bit studios is not yet ready to name the release date of The Alters, limiting itself to the wording "soon, after the release of Frostpunk 2, and it is, remember, moved from 25 July to 20 September. However, the developers are actively sharing interesting materials.

Here's What We Know

IGN channel published a 42-minute gameplay video of The Alters with comments from game director Tomasz Kisilewicz and senior designer Marcin Wazowski.

The developers showed what dangers await explorer Jan Dolski on an uncharted planet, as well as demonstrated excellent graphics, interaction with Jan's clones, development of the research base, collecting resources, solving puzzles and much more.

Recall, in the story of the game researcher Jan Dolski alone finds himself on a hostile planet, and to survive and leave it he creates his clones. Each of the Alters (clones) has a different view of the events and an opinion on the way out of the situation, so conflicts are inevitable, both between Jan Dolski and the clones, and among the many clones.

The Alters will be available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
