New content attracts gamers: major Sakurajima update for Palworld has increased the game's traffic 5.5-fold

Japanese studio Pocketpair has released a major update Sakurajima for the acclaimed game Palworld, which became a major hit in early 2024 and was remembered for its peak online audience of more than 2 million people.

In six months, interest in Palworld has dropped significantly, but the developers continue to develop the game.

In the new patch they added PvP-arena and a lot of new Pals, several additional locations, bosses, raised the maximum character level to 55 and much more.

The Sakurajima update has increased Palworld's attendance six times! According to SteamDB service, if recently there were about 25 000 players in the shooter, on the day of the patch release the peak online reached 135 thousand - more than 5.5 times.

Palworld is still in Early Access on Steam and available on Xbox Series, including Game Pass. And recently Pocketpair's community manager hinted that Palworld will soon be released on PS5.
