Keychron V8 Max mechanical keyboard with padding and hot-swappable switches released in China

Keychron has announced the new V8 Max mechanical keyboard, which offers an ergonomic Alice layout, 2.4GHz connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C wired connection, hot-swappable switches, PBT OSA caps, and RGB backlighting.

The V8 Max has a unique Alice layout, which differs from traditional layouts by separating the keys and placing them at a more natural angle for the user's hands. This can help reduce wrist strain and fatigue during long typing sessions.

Technical Characteristics

• The keyboard offers three connectivity options: 2.4GHz wireless with 1000Hz polling rate for gaming, Bluetooth 5.1 for connecting to multiple devices, and a wired USB-C connection.
• The V8 Max features a hot-swappable switch design, allowing users to easily customise the typing feel by installing their preferred mechanical switches without soldering.
• The keyboard comes with pre-lubricated Gateron Jupiter switches in red, brown or yellow, which offer linear keystroke. They have a lifespan of up to 80 million keystrokes.
• The V8 Max is equipped with double PBT caps with OSA profile, which are resistant to wear and tear and pleasant to the touch. The keyboard comes with Mac and Windows layouts.
• The keyboard uses a gasket mounting design to reduce noise and vibration. This, together with sound-absorbing foam, provides a quieter typing experience.
• The V8 Max features south-facing RGB backlighting that provides better key illumination without light leakage.

The Keychron V8 Max is now available for purchase in China at a starting price of RMB 529 ($72).
