The Bulgarian Army has received the first modernised L-39 Albatros (L-39ZA) aircraft into service.

The information was shared by the company Aero Vodochody, which is engaged in the production of the aircraft. By the way, the Czech manufacturer is modernising a total of two aircraft for the Bulgarian Army. The first L-39 Albatros underwent a major overhaul and received updated on-board equipment.

The L-39 Albatros is a multi-role combat trainer aircraft developed by the Czech company Aero Vodochody. The aircraft was put into service in the 1970s. The L-39 is designed for pilot training and combat missions. It is equipped with a 23mm cannon and can carry a variety of weapons, including missiles and bombs.
