Game director of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is developing the next RE part, but can't share details

Rumours about the upcoming Resident Evil instalment have been around for a long time. But you really want to hear officially that the game is in development, don't you? That's why Capcom decided to tell players directly.

Here's What We Know

During the Capcom Next presentation, Kōshi Nakanishi, a Japanese designer and game director who participated in the development of Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Resident Evil: Revelations, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, officially confirmed the development of a new Resident Evil.

Koshi said that it was difficult to decide what to do after part 7, but Koshi found an idea that he thinks is "iconic". So far, no details can be given to us, but now we at least know that the new Resident Evil is actively being developed.
