"A copy of Destiny from AliExpress": new shooter The First Descendant is hugely popular but has been justifiably criticised
The First Descendant, a free-to-play shooter from the South Korean company Nexon, has been released.
The game was among the five most expected releases in Steam and according to the results of the first day it can be noted that the project is very popular, but its quality leaves much to be desired.
Here's What We Know
At the time of writing the material, the peak online The First Descendant in Steam reached almost 230 thousand people. The game is among the most visited in the service.
Feedback from gamers is not so optimistic - the game has only 42% of positive reviews, and the complaints range from ruthless monetisation and poor optimisation to questionable agreements on collecting personal information and the general technical state of the game.
Some gamers have characterised The First Descendant as "a copy of Warframe and Destiny from AliExpress".
Perhaps, the only thing that can't be taken away from the shooter is extremely frank and attractive outfits of heroines, but whether it's enough to keep the game popular is a big question.
The developers indicate in the description that The First Descendant is a complex tactical shooter with a lot of unique characters and gameplay features, but gamers' reviews say that this is still a slight exaggeration.
The game is available for free on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
