Samsung unveiled the 3-nanometre Exynos W1000 chip for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra

Samsung has announced a new processor for wearable devices.

The novelty was named Exynos W1000. This is the successor of last year's model Exynos W930. The new SoC is built on a 3-nanometre Samsung GAA process. Thanks to this, the dimensions of the chip have been reduced. It has also become more energy efficient.

Exynos W1000 consists of one large Cortex-A78 core operating at a maximum frequency of 1.6 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 1.5 GHz. Mali-G68 MP2 is responsible for the graphics of the chip, with support for displays with resolutions up to 640×640p. The chip supports inbuilt storage up to 32GB.

According to the manufacturer, the Exynos W1000 is almost 3 times faster to open applications than the W930.

When We Can Expect It

The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra will get the new SoC. The devices will debut on 10 July.
