nubia unveiled the Red Magic 9S Pro and Red Magic 9S Pro+ gaming smartphones with overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and improved cooling
nubia revealed its new Red Magic gaming smartphones at a presentation on 3 July.
Here's What We Know
The new products are called Red Magic 9S Pro and Red Magic 9S Pro+. The main difference between the devices and the models Red Magic 9 Pro and Red Magic 9 Pro+ is the chip. The gadgets received an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The SoC runs at a maximum clock speed of 3.4GHz.
In addition, the company overclocked the GPU to 1 Hz, and also improved the cooling system of the novelties. It received a vapour chamber, a special gel that reduces thermal resistance, as well as a fan. It works with a rotation speed of 22,000 rpm. The manufacturer claims that the new cooling system allows to reduce the chip temperature to 19.5°C.
As for other specifications, they have not changed. The gadgets get a 6.8-inch 120Hz BOE Q9+ OLED display, 6500mAh/5500mAh batteries with 80/165W charging, 50 MP + 50 MP main camera, 16 MP front-facing sub-camera, Wi-Fi 7, USB-C 3.2 port, up to 16 GB RAM and up to 512 GB ROM.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Red Magic 9S Pro and Red Magic 9S Pro+ are already available to buy in China. The base model is priced from $525 and the top-of-the-line model is priced from $799.
By the way, apart from the gaming smartphones, nubia has also revealed a 32-inch Red Magic Realm monitor and a Red Magic Gaming Laptop 16 Pro.
