Tokyo Game Show won't be without Hideo Kojima: gamers should get ready for a new showing of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
Today, the organisers of the major Tokyo Game Show have released the list of exhibitors for the 2024 event.
The event will feature many well-known gaming companies, including Capcom, Koei Tecmo, Ubisoft Japan, THQ Nordic, Square Enix, Konami, Nexon, SNK, SEGA, Bandai Namco and S-Game.
In a surprise announcement, Sony Interactive Entertainment will also appear at Tokyo Game Show for the first time since 2019.
Here's What We Know
We immediately assumed that the headliner of Sony's programme at TGS would be the ambitious Death Stranding 2: On the Beach game from renowned game designer Hideo Kojima.
Not a day later, Kojima himself indirectly confirmed this hypothesis. He published a poster of Tokyo Game Show 2024, but those who follow the posts in X of the Japanese developer know that he publishes such messages not just out of love for the event, but as a hint about his visit there.
Since Microsoft, with whom Kojima is creating an ambitious interactive horror game OD, has not yet announced its participation at TGS, it's safe to say that we'll definitely see at least some new material about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, especially since the game is scheduled for release in 2025 and it's already time to promote it.
Tokyo Game Show 2024 will take place from 26 to 29 September.
