Insider: OnePlus and OPPO are working on smartphones with 6500mAh batteries

OnePlus recently unveiled the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro smartphone with a 6100 mAh battery, and is now working on devices with even bigger batteries.

This was revealed by a Digital Chat Station insider. The rumoured models in question are the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus Ace 4. The company is already testing prototypes of smartphones with 6500 mAh batteries. The first model is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, while the second will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Incidentally, apart from OnePlus, parent company OPPO may also release devices with such large batteries in the future. All the gadgets should support a minimum of 100W fast charging.

When We Can Expect It

It is not worth waiting for the release of novelties in the near future. If everything goes according to plan, the first OnePlus/OPPO smartphones with 6500 mAh batteries will appear at the end of 2024.
