The US Army has received a modernised CH-47F Chinook helicopter.

In total, the U.S. Army plans to upgrade 465 helicopters. CH-47F Chinook Block II received a modern navigation and control system, increased range, as well as updated parts.

The CH-47F Chinook is a modern version of the heavy transport helicopter developed by the American company Boeing. The CH-47F is designed to transport troops, cargo, artillery and casualty evacuation. It is equipped with two Honeywell T55-GA-714A turboshaft engines, which provide high payload capacity and speeds of up to 302 km/h.

The Chinook can carry up to 10 tonnes of cargo inside the fuselage or on external suspension. It is actively used by the armed forces of the US and other countries, including the UK, Canada and Australia, for a variety of missions.
