Denmark tests new Israeli-made PULS missile system (video)
Denmark has successfully tested Israel's new PULS multiple launch rocket system on its territory for the first time. The test firing took place at the Aksbjøl range, and the missile was launched about 10 kilometres into the North Sea.
Here's What We Know
The PULS system, supplied by Israeli company Elbit Systems, arrived in Denmark about a year ago. Since then, Danish soldiers and technicians from the Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) have been working with Elbit to ensure the integration of the MLRS.
Brigadier General Henrik Lichne, Deputy Army Commander, praised the system for its impressive firepower and range, noting its important role in strengthening Denmark's military capabilities.
The test firing, which lasted throughout the day, measured noise and exhaust emissions. DALO's Lieutenant Colonel Henrik Gwilsom highlighted the joint effort behind the successful test, involving the Danish Artillery Regiment, the Defence Maintenance Service, Elbit and DALO.
The PULS system, which is fitted to Tatra 815-7 Force 6×6 trucks, is scheduled to be in service by 2026. The Danish Ministry of Defence aims to achieve full readiness by 2025, following the delivery of all PULS and ATMOS (Israeli 155mm self-propelled artillery system) systems.
